GET SET FOR GANNONBALL 2011!
ENTER NOWThere’ll be thrills and spills aplenty at this year’s Gannonball Run which takes place in Dungannon Town Centre on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August! With more exciting obstacles and challenges than ever before, the Gannonball Run is an event you simply can’t miss out on – and entries are now open for contestants to give the all new course a run for its money!
Are you brave enough to tackle the challenge of the see–saw and tunnel, the twists and turns of the obstacle course, or the breathtaking speed runs of Dungannon’s hilltops? Do you have the imagination to wow the crowd with your costumes and soap box design? Or are you simply ‘up for the craic’ and willing to take part in Dungannon’s most memorable annual event?
Councillor Walter Cuddy – Chairman of the organising committee is urging the entire community to get involved, either as an entrant or a spectator. He says:
“We hope to top the amount of entries from last year’s Gannonball event which was a roaring success. Last year we added a new tunnel obstacle and junior soapbox category. We also have a Fastest Entry category (for all competitors), Best Crash and Burn, Most Imaginative / Innovative Entry and Best Dressed Team. Thrill seeking families, businesses, community groups and individuals are now invited to submit their entry form and get working on a wacky, road racer. The Gannonball Run attracts spectators from near and far so make sure you are part of it!”
